Volleyball Game Preview: San Gabriel Academy Eagles vs. Rio Hondo Prep Kares

The San Gabriel Academy Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Rio Hondo Prep Kares at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

San Gabriel Academy came up short against Pacifica Christian on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Gabriel Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Rio Hondo Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Polytechnic on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Kares haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

San Gabriel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Rio Hondo Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.
