Dawson needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Chace Thomas. The Dawson Bulldogs claimed a resounding 56-26 win over the Hubbard Jaguars thanks in part to Thomas, who posted 12 points along with seven boards and four steals. Those 12 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Hubbard still got an impressive performance from Anthony Weverka, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. That was a full 42.3% of Hubbard's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Dawson's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Hubbard, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Dawson will welcome Italy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hubbard, they will venture away from home to square off against Frost at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
