Soccer Game Preview: Lutheran vs. Durango

The Lutheran Lions will face off against the Durango Demons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Lutheran is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Mullen get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lutheran were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Durango entered their tilt with Riverdale Ridge on Saturday with 13 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 14. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Ravens. Durango's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six matchups.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those ten games. As for Durango, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
