Mt. Rainier won the last time they faced Kennedy Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lancers 1-0. The game was the first time Mt. Rainier have beaten Kennedy Catholic on their pitch since April 27, 2021.

The victory made it two in a row for Mt. Rainier and bumps their season record up to 5-2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Kennedy Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Rainier is set to face off against their familiar foe Kentridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic will challenge rival Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
