Baseball Game Preview: Point Pleasant Boro Panthers vs. Manasquan Warriors

For the second straight game, Point Pleasant Boro will face off against Manasquan. The Panthers will take on the Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Point Pleasant Boro took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Manasquan. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

John Loizos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nick Carmino, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Manasquan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
