Basketball Recap: Sierra Lutheran Takes a Loss

Sierra Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 53-45 to the Battle Mountain Longhorns. The Falcons were probably out for revenge after losing 82-59 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sierra Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Battle Mountain, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Lutheran will square off against North Tahoe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Battle Mountain, they will challenge Oasis Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
