Baseball Game Preview: Paraclete Spirits vs. San Dimas Saints

The Paraclete Spirits will square off against the San Dimas Saints at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Paraclete will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Paraclete is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Fullerton by a score of 6-3.

Paraclete got a great performance from Jacob Draper as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.2 innings pitched. Draper also allowed no hits, which is notable because the Spirits are undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 12-13 otherwise.

At the plate, Paraclete let Jesse Hernandez and Julian Trejo run wild. Hernandez went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Trejo went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Trejo has posted since back in April. Armando Saucedo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Colony typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday San Dimas proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Titans 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Saints have posted since April 1st.

Paraclete's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-13. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for San Dimas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.
