Highlights: Ohio junior Grady Kinsey might be the most electric running back in the country

Indian Valley star has piled up over 2,100 yards and 30 touchdowns in just eight games.

Junior Grady Kinsey helped Indian Valley (Gnadenhutten, Ohio) improve to 8-0 over the weekend by rushing for 364 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-27 win over Ridgewood (West Lafayette).

Kinsey also topped the 300-yard mark the week before in a 40-35 win over Garaway, going for 324 and four scores. According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, the 5-foot-8, 195-pound back is No. 2 nationally in rushing yardage with 2,115 and No. 4 in rushing touchdowns with 30.

The Indian Valley star is averaging 12.8 yards per carry while also playing defense, where he has recorded 53 tackles, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

In a 41-26 win over John Glenn (New Concord) on Sept. 7, Kinsey did it all. On offense he carried 19 times for 238 yards and five touchdowns while piling up 15 tackles on the other side of the ball.

Kinsey has been making an impact at Indian Valley since his freshman year in 2022, when he ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns in his first career game. He finished his rookie campaign with 1,180 yards and 12 touchdowns as the Braves reached the state championship game.

As a sophomore in 2023, Kinsey hit his stride by rushing for 1,446 yards and 29 touchdowns. The Braves reached the state semifinals and Kinsey rushed for 546 yards with nine touchdowns in three postseason games.

Kinsey has rushed for at least 200 yards in seven of his eight games this season and scored touchdowns on 18 percent of his runs.



Kinsey needs just 259 rushing yards to hit 5,000 in his career. He is on pace to finish in the top 10 all-time in the state of Ohio for career rushing yards.
