Basketball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 93-21 loss at the hands of the Crater Comets. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Comets are ranked fourth).

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Crater, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Coming up, Ashland will square off against North Eugene at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Ashland is facing North Eugene at the right time seeing as North Eugene is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Crater, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Thurston at 5:30 p.m.
