Baseball Recap: John F. Kennedy Rockets vs. Southside Cardinals
After soaring to 14 runs the game before, John F. Kennedy was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Southside Cardinals, falling 16-2. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to the Rockets when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
John F. Kennedy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MARK ALONSO, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
Even though they lost, John F. Kennedy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Southside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Kennedy has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Southside, they have already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against Poth on the 28th.
