Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Fort Campbell hit Heritage Christian Academy with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors came up short against the Falcons, falling 12-4. The Warriors have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Caden Gresham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Heritage Christian Academy is 2-1 when Gresham posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadyn Travis, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fort Campbell, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-10.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Hopkins County Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Storm at the right time seeing as the Storm are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Fort Campbell, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Northwest at 5:30 p.m. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.48 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
