Basketball Recap: Lawson Takes a Loss

Lawson suffered their closest defeat since December 16, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Stewartsville/Osborn by a score of 48-46. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lawson still got an impressive performance from Isaac Willoughby, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points. The contest was Willoughby's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Preston Barker was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Lawson's loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Lawson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-46 victory against Plattsburg on the 24th. Stewartsville/Osborn has also already played their next game (against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
