Softball Recap: Norwood Victorious

Norwood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against Medway by a score of 8-5. This was payback for Norwood, who suffered an 8-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Colleen Denehy was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzy Helmar, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Norwood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medway struck out seven times.

Norwood's record is now 10-8. As for Medway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Norwood nor Medway have any future games scheduled.
