Softball Recap: Heritage Eagles vs. Palisade Bulldogs
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). Everything went their way against the Palisade Bulldogs on Friday as the Heritage Eagles made off with a 20-3 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Macie Wilson looked comfortable as she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Aubrey Kramp was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits. Eliza Auger was another key player, going 3-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and a triple.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive matches.
