Preview: Andrews vs. Towns County
Andrews are packing up and hiking across state lines for their game on Friday. They take on Towns County at Towns County High School at 7:30 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Andrews were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Gladiator Sports Academy 45-0. The Andrews offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Meanwhile, Towns County might have drawn first blood against Union County, but it was Union County who got the last laugh. Towns County were completely outmatched, falling 7-45 to Union County. Towns County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-38.
Andrews's win lifted them to 1-2 while Towns County's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. In Andrews's win, junior Landon White rushed for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns and sophomore Gavin Wilson rushed for 54 yards and 2 touchdowns. We'll see if Towns County have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
