Basketball Game Preview: National Trail Blazers vs. Milton-Union Bulldogs

The National Trail Blazers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Milton-Union Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. National Trail is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

National Trail is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Franklin Monroe on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. National Trail was dealt a 58-31 loss at the hands of Franklin Monroe. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 770th, while the Jets are ranked 299th).

Meanwhile, Milton-Union earned a 52-45 victory over Riverside on Tuesday.

Milton-Union found their leader in sophomore Levi Brumbaugh, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 17 points. Milton-Union is 2-1 when Brumbaugh posts 15 or more points, but 3-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Kimmel, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Milton-Union's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for National Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

National Trail came up short against Milton-Union in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 57-47. Can National Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
