Football Recap: Community Christian Takes Down Ranked St. Francis + How To Watch

Community Christian faced St. Francis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Community Christian managed a 33-28 win over St. Francis. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Community Christian.

Isaiah Lee produced another solid performance rushing for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Fredrico Jones, who gained 119 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Community Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 414 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Francis lost, don't look at Eli Pawlish. Despite the final result, he rushed for 62 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. Pawlish also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because St. Francis is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Community Christian's record is now 5-1-1. As for St. Francis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Community Christian has already played their next contest, a 41-8 victory against New Creation Christian Academy on the 10th. As for St. Francis, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lafayette Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
