Volleyball Recap: Loganville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Loganville Christian Academy challenged Lakeside on Saturday. The Lions fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Maddie Husband paced Loganville Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Husband got some help from Summer Shambo and her 12 assists. Shambo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Zoe Evans, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.

Loganville Christian Academy moved to 28-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Lakeside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Loganville Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tallulah Falls on the 23rd. As for Lakeside, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gainesville on the 20th.
