Saint Thomas Aquinas had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Valley Center Hornets get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Will Ray was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. Ray was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ernesto Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Saint Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Valley Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.
