Soccer Recap: Avon Extends Winning Streak to Two

While Avon's win against Herron wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Orioles never let the Achaeans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Arif Shamsideen had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Avon.

The win made it two in a row for Avon and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two games. As for Herron, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
