After a string of six wins, Prairie's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 40-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Otis Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 96th).

Despite the loss, Prairie still got an impressive performance from Lane Schock, who posted nine points.

Otis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cambric Klinzmann, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Stivers, who put up eight points.

Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Otis, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.

Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-37 defeat against Idalia on the 1st. As for Otis, they have also already played their next game, a 59-38 win against Arickaree on the 1st.
