Volleyball Recap: Gunnison Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Gunnison Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Beaver Beavers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Gunnison Valley never let Beaver on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Ellia Anderson paced Gunnison Valley's offense, picking up 18 kills. Anderson got some help from Makayla Tucker and her 23 assists. Anderson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Beaver lost, don't look at Alexia Joseph. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and two aces. Lexi Hafen was another key player, getting 11 digs.
