Softball Recap: Lehman Catholic Sets Scoring Season-High Against Troy Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lehman Catholic). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Troy Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bailey Cotterman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Layla Platfoot, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophia Magoteaux, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Lehman Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Troy Christian only posted an OBP of .158.

Lehman Catholic's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Troy Christian, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
