Sadie Mayer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 18 assists and two aces. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, DeForest was able to grind out a solid win over Sun Prairie West on Saturday, taking the game 3-1.
The final score came out to 27-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-15.
Holmen better keep an eye on Kendall Johnson. She was instrumental in DeForest's win, getting seven digs and two aces.
DeForest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.
Holmen's record now sits at 30-0. As for DeForest, their record is now 30-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Holmen has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like DeForest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
