Baseball Game Preview: Mount Tahoma T-Birds vs. Lincoln Abes

For the second straight game, Mount Tahoma will face off against Lincoln. The T-Birds will head out to challenge the Abes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

While Mount Tahoma's win against Lincoln wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The T-Birds skirted past the Abes 8-6. The T-Birds haven't had any issues with the Abes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jacob Kerwood was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Mount Tahoma's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Kerwood was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jayden Bookout was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Carson Roll was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Mount Tahoma's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Lincoln, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
