In what's become a running theme this season, Desert Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They really took it to San Manuel for the full four quarters, racking up a 82-31 victory at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-15.
Desert Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Vavala, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vavala has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Brown, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Sequoia Pathway Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Tempe Prep 60-12.
Desert Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Sequoia Pathway Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
Everything went Desert Christian's way against Sequoia Pathway Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as Desert Christian made off with a 81-58 victory.
