Baseball Recap: Monache Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Monache entered their tilt with Mt. Whitney on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 last Tuesday.

Lewis Green was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Tyson Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Monache's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Mt. Whitney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monache will welcome Corcoran at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Whitney, they will host Porterville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
