Basketball Recap: Jefferson County North Chargers vs. Rossville Bulldogs
Jefferson County North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Rossville Bulldogs and fell 76-24. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rossville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jakoby Mcdonnell, who went 5 for 12 en route to 10 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Mcdonnell a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Donovan, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and three steals.
Jefferson County North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Rossville, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Jefferson County North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-32 victory against Atchison County on the 24th. Rossville has also already played their next contest, a 66-60 win against Northeast on the 24th.
