Opelika dropped down to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 42-20 to the Enterprise Wildcats. The Bulldogs were down 35-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Whit Cooper threw for 110 yards on eight of 20 attempts. Dre Vann was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards. On the ground, Jordan Waits rushed for 65 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

As for Enterprise, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-4. That looming 42-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Mason Burkhardt had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 174 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 95 yards and one TD. Those 174 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Jyrell Reese was another key player, rushing for 98 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.
