Baseball Game Preview: Bristow Pirates vs. Mannford Pirates

Bristow will challenge Mannford at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bristow is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Mannford on Monday as Bristow made off with an 18-9 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

For Mannford's part, Mason Harvey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Hank Shasteen, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The loss snapped Mannford's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing seven strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.75 in the others. As for Bristow, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
