Lapwai has gone 8-2 against Troy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Lapwai is looking for their season's first victory.

Lapwai is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Kendrick, who was ranked first at the time (Lapwai was ranked 21st). The Wildcats were dealt a 90-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers last Friday.

Meanwhile, Troy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Timberline, falling 80-20. The Trojans were down 44-6 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Lapwai will need to focus on slowing down Payton Christensen, one of several Troy players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards.

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lapwai, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
