Basketball Recap: Brown County Takes a Loss

Brown County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were dealt a 57-16 defeat at the hands of the Indian Creek Braves. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-5.

Ayla Lollar was her usual excellent self, going 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and five steals for Indian Creek. Lollar is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Jasmine Day was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.

Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Indian Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Brown County has already played their next match, a 36-31 defeat against Edgewood on the 31st. As for Indian Creek, they will face off against Beech Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
