Carson has gone 8-1 against Peninsula recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Carson Colts will host the Peninsula Panthers at 3:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carson is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand North a 5-0 shutout. The Colts are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight dating back to last season.

The result came thanks to Giselle Pantoja's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Rylee Gardner was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Peninsula hadn't done well against Banning recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Peninsula skirted past Banning 6-4.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Lang, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alina Abukurah, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Carson beat Peninsula 13-8 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Carson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Peninsula turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
