Basketball Recap: Lake Region Comes Up Short

Lake Region was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-41 loss to the York Wildcats. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lake Region's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for York, they now also have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region will welcome Cape Elizabeth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Region is facing Cape Elizabeth at the right time seeing as Cape Elizabeth is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for York, they will host Kennebunk at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
