Recap: North Moore Mustangs vs. Ascend Leadership Aviators
The North Moore Mustangs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 60-36 margin over Ascend Leadership.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Moore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Pennington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Copeland, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals.
North Moore's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Ascend Leadership, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
North Moore will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ascend Leadership at 7:30 p.m. As for Ascend Leadership, they will head out on the road to face off against North Moore at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully North Moore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
