Volleyball Recap: Mater Academy Charter Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

Mater Academy Charter proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Monsignor Pace Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since April 17, 2024.

Mater Academy Charter had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 10-25, 25-21, 25-15, 15-8.

Despite the defeat, Monsignor Pace saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucas Neptune had 11 digs and two aces.
