After losing to Flanagan-Cornell the last time they met, Roanoke-Benson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Roanoke-Benson Rockets managed a 52-47 win over the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

Roanoke-Benson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Flanagan-Cornell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Roanoke-Benson and Flanagan-Cornell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Similarly, Flanagan-Cornell will face off against Tremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 196 places (299 vs. 103).
