Softball Game Preview: Evergreen Park Mustangs vs. Payton College Prep Grizzlies

The Evergreen Park Mustangs will square off against the Payton College Prep Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Evergreen Park's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.

Evergreen Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Mansueto a 15-0 shutout. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Payton College Prep played against Muchin College Prep on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Evergreen Park has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Payton College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 14-16-2.
