Volleyball Recap: Alcoa Comes Up Short

Alcoa suffered their biggest loss since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Northview Academy Cougars, falling 3-0. The Tornadoes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-19.

Sydney Cole was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Ellerbe, who had four digs and two aces.

Alcoa now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Northview Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Alcoa has already played their next contest (against Sequoyah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northview Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Carter on the 18th.
