Eagan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Everything went their way against the Prior Lake Lakers as they made off with a 9-3 win. The Wildcats not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.

Andrew Liekis looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tate Gage, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Lunneborg, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eagan will face off against rival Lakeville North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Prior Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Shakopee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
