Baseball Recap: Pima Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pima's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Empire Ravens on Tuesday. The Roughriders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pima saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Hughes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Hughes is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Pima now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Empire, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Pima wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Chandler Prep on the 28th. As for Empire, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Willcox on the 28th.
