Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Cleveland Storm, falling 72-50. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Storm: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Highland lost, don't look at Juan Limas. Despite the final result, he posted 27 points and six rebounds. The contest was Limas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Cheng, who put up 11 points.

Even though they lost, Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Highland's record now sits at 4-7. As for Cleveland, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Highland and Albuquerque will face off at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Cleveland, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against La Cueva at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
