There's no place like home for Dos Pueblos, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They strolled past the Hueneme Vikings with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 27-8. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.
Dos Pueblos had a senior duo take command as Callan Lee rushed for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry and Drew Schultz rushed for 94 yards and one TD. Schultz really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
Dos Pueblos was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 278 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Dos Pueblos' defense and their three sacks. Iyad Ahmad-Reda refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
The win got Dos Pueblos back to even at 3-3. As for Hueneme, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Coming up, Dos Pueblos will look to defend their home field on Friday against Agoura at 7:00 p.m. Dos Pueblos will need to watch out since Agoura has now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Hueneme, they will head out to challenge Fillmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flashes' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
