Baseball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short at Home Against Twinsburg

Hilliard Davidson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Twinsburg Tigers by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Cole Leopold was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Johnny DiBlasio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The victory got Twinsburg back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Hilliard Davidson is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Ballard at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Twinsburg, they will square off against North Royalton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Royalton will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Twinsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
