Basketball Recap: Adams Central Takes a Loss

Adams Central lost against Grand Island Central Catholic back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Adams Central Patriots took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Anna Tibbetts, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds for Grand Island Central Catholic. The matchup was Tibbetts' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryndal Moody, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Adams Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Adams Central has already played their next game, a 51-44 loss against Crete on the 28th. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-40 defeat against Bishop Neumann on the 28th.
