Basketball Game Preview: Lancaster Golden Gales vs. Logan Chieftains

The Lancaster Golden Gales will face off against the Logan Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lancaster is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Pickerington Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lancaster was beaten by Pickerington Central 65-37. While losing is never fun, the Golden Gales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Tigers are ranked 139th).

Meanwhile, Logan lost 81-55 to Reynoldsburg on Friday. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lancaster has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Logan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Lancaster strolled past Logan in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 70-53. Will Lancaster repeat their success, or does Logan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
