Rio Hondo Prep waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Chadwick Dolphins. This was payback for the Kares, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Rio Hondo Prep got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-11.

Rio Hondo Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Chadwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Rio Hondo Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Arroyo on the 22nd. As for Chadwick, they will take on Peninsula at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
