Patrick Henry hadn't done well against Mt. Carmel recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots really took it to the Sundevils for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-16 win. The Patriots not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 52-8).

Leading Patrick Henry to victory were Calvin Glenn and Madin Gardini. Glenn gained 262 total yards and three touchdowns, while Gardini rushed for 72 yards and two scores on only ten carries. The dominant performance also gave Glenn a new career-high in rushing yards (244).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Patrick Henry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Several Sundevils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Donohue, who picked up 58 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 35 yards. Vohnn Brown also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards.

Patrick Henry's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Mt. Carmel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Patrick Henry and Mt. Carmel will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Patriots are set to challenge their familiar foe Mission Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel will square off against rival Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
