Football Recap: West Genesee Comes Up Short

After soaring to 35 points the game before, West Genesee was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by the Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars and fell 48-12. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Northstars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

West Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Genesee will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rome Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Cicero-North Syracuse, they will face off against Proctor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
