Basketball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 59-21 defeat at the hands of the Greeley Central Wildcats. The Mountain Lions were down 42-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Mountain View still got an impressive performance from Marlene Carrillo, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Aaniya Davis had an outrageously good game for Greeley Central as she went 9-for-16 to rack up 18 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Davis has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Sepeda, who posted 13 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Mountain View's record is now 5-18. As for Greeley Central, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greeley Central, they have already played their next contest, a 53-47 victory against Severance on the 22nd.
